Abstract
This paper presented three cases of malignant lymphoma of the small intestine experienced from Aug. ¢¥64 to July ¢¥65 at the 1st ROK Army Hospital together with a review of some previous publications on this subject.
The incidence of the malignant lymphoma in the small intestine is relatively small. Shallow reported the incidence was 0.5% among all malignant tumor in gastrointestinal tract, while Shields, Warren and Lulenski indicated that only 0.9% of all malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal tract were solitary lymphoid neoplasm.
Of the three patients with malignant lymphoma of the small bowel in this paper, two cases were the lymphocytic lymphosarcoma and the other was the reticulum cell sarcoma. They all died within four weeks postoperatively and couldn¡¯t receive radiation therapy.
